A powerful 7.7-magnitude earthquake struck Myanmar today, shaking Thailand and causing mass panic. Thousands of people are suspected to have lost their lives, while rescue operations are underway to find survivors.
In Bangkok, a 30-story building under construction collapsed completely, killing at least two workers and trapping dozens more under the rubble. Shocking footage shows workers running in terror as the building crumbled in a cloud of dust.
Strong tremors were also felt in the Thai capital, 800 miles from the epicenter, forcing people to flee buildings.

Airports have suspended operations to assess the damage. Thailand's Prime Minister, Paetongtarn Shinawatra, has declared Bangkok an "emergency zone" and has called for the immediate evacuation of all residents from high-rise buildings.
In Myanmar, a state of emergency has been declared in six regions, with at least three confirmed deaths so far. Aftershocks were also felt in India and China, and the US Geological Survey has issued a warning of severe consequences and multiple casualties. (A2 Televizion)
