US Vice President JD Vance, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky met today on the sidelines of the 61st Munich Security Conference in Munich, southern Germany.
According to foreign media, it was a spokesman for President Zelensky who broke the news, as it was reported that the talks are taking place in the basement of a five-star hotel in a mountainous area of the city, about 5 km (3 miles) from the Munich Security Conference, where the two leaders spoke earlier today.
We have not yet heard what Vance and Zelensky are discussing, but the main issue is ending the war in Ukraine, writes A2 CNN.
We recall that during his speech in Munich, Vance criticized European Union countries and Great Britain for the level of democracy, which he said is declining.
He also said that Russia is not a threat, but according to Vance, Europe should look for the threat to security within itself.
His statements were not well received by European Union leaders, some of whom reacted after his speech, writes A2 CNN.
