French President Emmanuel Macron will visit the United States today, where he will meet with President Donald Trump.
According to foreign media, today he intends to tell Trump that it is in the interest of the US and Europe not to show weakness towards Vladimir Putin during US-led negotiations to end the war in Ukraine.
So far, Ukraine and Europe have been kept out of peace talks, with Trump's harsh comments about Volodymyr Zelenskyy adding to concerns that Kiev may be forced to make concessions to reach a deal.
"You cannot be weak in the face of President Putin. It's not you, it's not your brand, it's not in your interest," Macron said on social media, writes A2 CNN.
