North Korea has called US President Donald Trump's proposal for the US to take control of Gaza and resettle Palestinians to create a "Middle Eastern Riviera" "ridiculous", accusing Washington of extortion.
"The Palestinians' faint hopes for security and peace have been shattered by the proposal," said a commentary carried by the state news agency KCNA, which said "the world is now boiling like a pot of porridge over the US bomb declaration."
