There can be no negotiations between Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump on the war in Ukraine without the participation of Europe and Ukraine itself. This is what the presidency in Kiev declared, following news that Putin is ready for direct negotiations with Donald Trump on Ukraine.
"He (Putin) wants to negotiate the fate of Europe, without Europe. And he wants to talk about Ukraine without Ukraine," the head of the Ukrainian presidential office, Andriy Yermak, said on Telegram.
"This will not happen. Putin must come back to reality, otherwise he will go backwards. That's not how things work in the modern world."
Earlier, Russian news agencies Tass and Interfax reported that Russian President Vladimir Putin stated that he is ready for direct negotiations with Donald Trump about Ukraine.
