Vladimir Putin sends a secret message to the Chinese president, Xi Jingping, writes A2 CNN. And to send it, he does not trust any modern means of communication, but uses the most ancient method, that of delivering the document by hand.
In this case, the man who did Putin's bidding was the deputy chairman of Russia's National Security Council, Dimitry Medvedev. The latter arrived on Thursday in Beijing for a two-day visit and personally delivered the secret message to the Chinese president.
What is contained in the message, no one knows.
For his part, Xi told Medvedev that China is ready to strengthen "strategic alignment" with Russia. "Both parties must lead world governance in the right direction and receive the support of friendly political parties, especially in the southern hemisphere," Xi Jingping is said to have told Medvedev.
