The American ambassador to Serbia, Christopher Hill, said that he could not confirm whether America will impose sanctions on the Serbian oil industry and that they should in no way harm the Serbian economy and bilateral relations between the two countries.
"I am not able to confirm whether sanctions will be imposed, but I must say that from the moment Russia bought the refinery and the production capacity, there has been concern, because since then it has profited very well, but it has not invested anything in Serbia, all the profit went abroad, i.e. to Russia", said Hill in a conversation with journalists after the meeting with the Minister of Order Ivica Dacic.
According to him, this has become a concern especially since "the beginning of the war in Ukraine, because there has always been concern about how the money earned from the oil industry will be used. (A2 Televizion)
