The Israeli army will expand its military operations against Hamas in Gaza and seize additional territory, its chief said.
"We are acting according to a structured plan and are moving to the next phase. Hamas will pay the price for its defiance," Eyal Zamir said in Gaza during a field visit, A2 CNN writes.
"We will expand our maneuver, occupy additional territory, clear and destroy the terrorist infrastructure until it is defeated," he continued.
Over the past few days, Israel has intensified its offensive in Gaza, launching widespread attacks.
