Three brothers known for their activity in the real estate market have been charged with sex trafficking in the US, after allegations of drugging, assaulting and raping dozens of women over more than a decade.
Tal and Oren Alexander, known for selling luxury properties in New York and Miami, as well as their brother Alon, were arrested in Florida and will be sent to New York to face the charges, writes A2 CNN.
According to the indictment, the brothers used their wealth to lure women with promises of luxury trips and experiences. They organized parties where, according to prosecutors, the victims were drugged by putting substances into their drinks. In some cases, it is said that the victims were forced to carry out transactions, even when they repeatedly refused. After the abuse, the brothers offered the women concert tickets and other lavish gifts in exchange for silence.
Oren Alexander's lawyer, Susan Necheles, stated that her client is innocent and that the evidence will confirm this. Meanwhile, victims' advocate David Gottlieb welcomed the charges and praised the women for finding the courage to speak out about their painful experiences.
The Alexander brothers, who have worked for real estate giant Douglas Elliman and sold properties to household names like Kim Kardashian and Kanye West, founded a new company called Official in 2022. (A2 Televizion)
