US President Donald Trump has repeated his threat to annex Greenland by military force if necessary. In response to a question on the subject, the Republican said in an interview with NBC that such a thing would not be ruled out.

"I'm not ruling anything out. Of course I'm not saying I'll use it, but I'm not ruling it out either. We need Greenland. We need it very badly. Greenland is made up of very friendly people and we'll take very good care of them. We need the peninsula for international security," Trump said, A2 writes.

For months, Trump has expressed his interest in taking control of Greenland, which is part of the Kingdom of Denmark. He has not ruled out using the military in the past. Already in his first term in office, Trump caused a sensation with the idea of simply buying Greenland. Trump would also like to see neighboring Canada become part of the United States.

In the NBC interview, the US President made it clear that he did not see military force as an option against Canada. Referring to its northern neighbor, he said: “I don’t think we’ll ever get to that point.”

In the interview with the American media, Trump repeated the refrain of ending the war between Russia and Ukraine, but without specifying how. He praised Ukraine for reaching the rare earth minerals agreement and stressed that this war would not have happened if he had been in charge of the White House.

On the other hand, Trump has ordered the infamous Alcatraz prison in the US state of California to resume operations. Trump highlighted this fact on his online platform “Social Truth” that he had instructed authorities to modernize and reopen the famous facility, located on an island near San Francisco and closed for more than six decades.

In the future, it would house “America’s most dangerous and violent criminals,” “the scum of society who will cause nothing but misery and suffering,” he said.

Also, Trump, in a post on the “Social Truth” platform, said that he has instructed the Department of Commerce and the US Trade Representative to impose a 100% tariff on films produced outside the United States and imported into America. “The American Film Industry is DYING very quickly. Other countries are offering all kinds of incentives to drive our directors and studios out of the United States,” Trump wrote in his post. (A2 Televizion)
