Trump backtracks: No one is expelling Palestinians

US President Donald Trump says no one is expelling any Palestinians from Gaza, as he answered a reporter's question during a meeting with the Irish Prime Minister at the White House.

Trump has resumed his close alliance with Israel and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu since taking office in January, and he has previously said that all Palestinians should leave Gaza, at least temporarily, after a peace deal, writes A2 CNN.

"Nobody is expelling any Palestinians. I don't know. Who are you with? We talk about everything. Israel has been under siege, as you can see. And they opposed that. October 7th was a terrible thing. People don't like to mention it, but it was a terrible, terrible day for the fate of the world. And it's amazing how people don't mention that.

But I've never seen anything like it. There are clips, I'd rather the president who's here with us see them. And we're working a lot with Israel. I can say that I just saw 10 hostages and they were treated very badly. I was shocked. (A2 Televizion)
