Cassie Ventura told the court about a relationship she had with Scott Mescudi, a singer and rapper better known as Kid Cudi.
According to foreign media, this is the first time their relationship has been mentioned during the trial.
Ms. Ventura and Sean Combs (P. Diddy) were in an on-again, off-again relationship for about 11 years, from 2007 to 2018, but during her testimony yesterday, she told the court that they had broken up. The rapper didn't want to go public with it at first, she said, because according to her, he was in a relationship when their relationship began.
In her civil lawsuit against Combs in November 2023, which the rapper settled the day after it was filed, Ms. Ventura said that in 2011, during “a difficult period” in her relationship with the hip-hop mogul, she had a brief affair with musician Mescudi.
She tells the court that she ended that relationship because there was "a lot of uncertainty about whether we were going to continue." She said the relationship between them was dangerous, as according to her, Combs allegedly said he would hurt them both.
