The investigation into the story of little Emile Soleil, the two-and-a-half-year-old boy who disappeared in 2023 in a village in the French Alps and whose remains were found 9 months later, has taken a dramatic turn.
A story that until now had remained unsolved and that has shocked all of France. Two years after the events, four people have been arrested by investigators. They are the child's maternal grandparents (Philippe Vedovini, 58 years old and his wife) and two of their children, Emil's uncles. All four are suspected of having killed the child and hidden his body.
Little Emil mysteriously disappeared on July 8, 2023, just after arriving for summer vacation with his maternal grandparents, at their second home in the Haut-Vernet refuge, in the French Alps. Despite several days of searching, helped by local residents, no trace of the child was found in the very inaccessible and isolated area, at an altitude of 1,200 meters.
For nine months the investigation yielded no concrete results. Then, in late March 2024, a woman hiking in the mountains found the child's skull and teeth, just under two kilometers from the shelter. (A2 Televizion)
