British Prime Minister Keir Starmer will host Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy for a meeting, London announced. European leaders are expected to gather for a high-level meeting in London on Sunday to discuss a peace plan for Ukraine.
"The Prime Minister and President Zelenskyy will meet this afternoon," a spokesman for Prime Minister Starmer's office said.
The meeting follows heated exchanges between Ukrainian President Zelenskyy and United States President Donald Trump at the White House regarding the war against Russia and the US President's warning that the United States may withdraw support for Ukraine.
Prime Minister Starmer held phone calls with Presidents Trump and Zelenskyy on Friday as he expressed his "unwavering support" for Ukraine, joining similar statements of support for President Zelenskyy from other European leaders who pledged to stand by Ukraine. VOA
