The Trump administration has submitted an "improved" draft of the minerals agreement to Ukraine after Volodymyr Zelensky rejected the initial proposal.
The news was reported by Axios, citing American and Ukrainian sources.
Some of Zelensky's aides are urging him to sign the updated proposal to avoid further clashes with Trump, who has expressed dissatisfaction with the Ukrainian leader's initial rejection.
Earlier, it was White House National Security Advisor Mike Waltz who called on Ukraine to drop its criticism of the US, which is trying to reach a mutually acceptable agreement to end the war.
"They need to tone it down and take a good look and sign this agreement," Waltz told Fox News, referring to a minerals deal.
"The resistance from Ukraine to the agreement and the criticism of the way Trump is conducting the peace talks is simply unacceptable," Waltz stressed, underlining that one must take into account everything the United States has done for Ukraine. (A2 Televizion)
