Trump ends speculation: Ukraine should not strike Moscow

The United States has no intention of sending long-range missiles to Ukraine so that Volodymyr Zelensky can use them to target Moscow.

This fact was announced by US President Donald Trump. Asked whether Zelensky should target Moscow and other targets deep inside Russia, Trump replied: “No, he shouldn’t.”

He added that the United States "has no intention of sending long-range missiles to Ukraine."

Earlier, the prestigious Financial Times reported that Trump had suggested to Zelensky to attack the Russian capital during a phone call on July 4. Sources close to this media outlet said that this reflected a growing desire in the West to "bring the war closer to the Muscovites," a term commonly used by Ukrainians.

"Trump wanted to make Russia feel the pain and force it to accept peace," one of the sources told the Financial Times, citing the phone call between the two presidents.

As the Washington Post claims, Zelensky had told him that Ukraine could strike Russian cities if the United States provided the weapons.  (A2 Televizion)
