"The attack carried out by India last night has created the risk of a general war. We condemn such provocative actions and attacks against civilians and civilian infrastructure." This is the reaction of the Turkish Foreign Ministry, expressing concern about the situation between the two countries.
In a statement, the Turkish Foreign Ministry called on the parties to "act with common sense" and take measures to reduce tensions.
"We support Pakistan's call for an investigation into the April 22 terrorist attack," the statement said.
Tensions between the nuclear-armed states rose after a deadly militant attack on Indian tourists last month. India accused Pakistan of involvement, which Islamabad denied.
