In an operation reminiscent of the booby-trapped bombs that Israel used to bomb Hezbollah operatives, causing mass deaths and injuries, the Ukrainians have given the Russians explosive goggles for drone control.
Ukrainian military secret services managed to insert explosives into special goggles worn by Russian military drone operators and cause serious injuries to many of them.
The operation is reminiscent of that of the Israeli secret service, Mossad, which supplied thousands of Hezbollah operatives in Lebanon with pagers (communication devices) packed with explosives. When they all exploded together last September, many were killed and hundreds injured.

Politico reports that HUR, the intelligence service of the Ukrainian military, managed to hack into about 80 pairs of special goggles worn by FPV drone operators. The operator monitors the drone's course with the goggles and changes it by remote control. All of this happens many kilometers away from where the drone is flying, with its operator in a relatively safe location.
HUR integrated explosives, a battery and a detonator into the drones and sent them to people working on them in Russia. In turn, they donated them to Russian units in January.

In early February, reports began to appear online that some FPV pilots' goggles exploded while they were wearing them. At least eight operators were blinded in the Kursk, Donetsk and Luhansk regions.
The operation is ongoing, Ukrainian sources told Politico. (A2 Televizion)
