Russia's Foreign Ministry has said Moscow "did not accept the threats" after President Donald Trump threatened to impose tough tariffs on Russia if a peace deal was not reached within 50 days.
According to foreign media, Trump gave few details about how the tariffs would be implemented, but he described them as secondary tariffs, meaning they would target Russia's trading partners in an effort to isolate Moscow in the global economy.
The US president also announced an agreement to increase arms shipments going to Ukraine, writes A2 CNN.
Maria Zakharova, a spokeswoman for the Russian Foreign Ministry, said Trump's decision to supply Ukraine with new missiles was a signal to "continue the massacre" and a rejection of peace efforts. (A2 Televizion)
