A shocking incident has taken place in Kenya, where a man was caught on the back of a helicopter as it was taking off from a wedding, putting his life and that of others at risk. Dramatic footage shows the moment Stephen Odhiambo Ouma, 28, hangs hundreds of feet above the ground as crowds on the ground burst into screams and pleas for his rescue.
The incident took place in the village of Rapogi in Kenya. Ouma reportedly asked the pilot and passengers of the helicopter for money and a ride to Nairobi, but after being refused, he grabbed the helicopter as it took off, writes A2 CNN.
The pilot, upon spotting the uninvited passenger, made an emergency landing in a nearby field. Ouma later told local media that he was “relieved” to land, as he had begun to feel fatigued in the air – but he remained unrepentant and declared that he would complete the 65-minute journey without a problem.
He even said that for him, who usually travels by donkey, this flight was a historic experience, adding that he had not felt the cold at all and had kept his slippers on.
Police arrested Ouma at his apartment and are expected to file charges of endangering his life and the lives of others.
