Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has spoken about the minerals deal with his counterpart Donald Trump, revealing whether he would return to the US to sign it.
Recall that a notorious clash between Zelenskyy and President Trump and his Vice President JD Vance occurred at the White House, hours before the agreement was to be signed. Zelenskyy left the White House after the clashes.
"I will not go to Washington because there is no issue on the agenda," Zelensky said when asked today, writes A2 CNN.
On the agreement itself, he says that "we have a lot of these agreements on minerals" and that the US will send a final draft later.
He also says that Washington is "constantly" changing the terms of the agreement, writes A2 CNN.
Zelensky said he wants to show the American public that he wants a good relationship with Washington.
"But I wouldn't want to leave the United States with the feeling that Ukraine is against them in general, because we have repeatedly shown [that we are sending] positive signals," Zelensky added, writes A2 CNN.
"We are in favor of cooperation with the United States of America," the Ukrainian President concluded. (A2 Televizion)
