The Kremlin has shown itself indifferent to Donald Trump's statement about Vladimir Putin, in which he expressed his anger at the Russian President and the progress of the war in Ukraine.
The Kremlin said Russia and the United States were working on ideas for a possible peace solution in Ukraine and for building bilateral ties.
"We are continuing to work with the American side, first of all, to build our bilateral relations, which were severely damaged during the previous (US) administration," Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said.
Asked about Trump's comments, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said Moscow was continuing to work with Washington and that Putin remained open to contacts with Trump.
Trump told NBC News that he was very angry after the Russian leader criticized the credibility of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy, as a result of which the US president indicated that he could impose secondary tariffs of 25%-50% on buyers of Russian oil.
Trump later reiterated to reporters that he was disappointed with Putin, but also added that: "The US and Russia are making progress, step by step . "
Regarding a possible phone call between Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin, the Kremlin spokesman said that such a thing is not yet planned. (A2 Televizion)
