Kosovo has begun numerous activities to mark the 17th anniversary of the declaration of Independence, emphasizing the historical importance of this moment for the country.

The day began with a solemn meeting of the Government, which was followed by the raising of the national flag, an important symbol of Kosovo's statehood and identity.

After the ceremony organized by state institutions, President Vjosa Osmani and Prime Minister Albin Kurti paid homage to the two most important memorials that honor those who gave their lives for the freedom and independence of Kosovo: the Memorial of the Missing and the Memorial of the Murdered Children.

President Osmani, during her speech, emphasized that this is a sacred day for every citizen of Kosovo, a day that commemorates the great sacrifices and efforts that led to gaining independence. She added that, despite the challenges that Kosovo has gone through, this country has managed to build a strong and stable state, which has made great strides towards integration into the international community.

Prime Minister Kurti, on the other hand, expressed the importance of independence, committing to strengthening the state of Kosovo and promoting the values ​​of freedom, democracy and human rights. He stressed that the Government's commitment will always be to ensure a better future for the citizens of Kosovo and to develop strong relations with international allies.
