The acting Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, met last night at a working dinner with the High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Kaja Kallas.
Welcoming her to Pristina, Prime Minister Kurti thanked her for her visit and the European Union's support for Kosovo.
They discussed relations between Kosovo and the EU, the European reform agenda and the Growth Plan.
The Prime Minister stressed that Kosovo, in addition to aligning its foreign policy with that of the European Union, has made considerable progress in internal reforms, and that this is also evidenced and proven in the country's EU reports. The Prime Minister thanked Kallas for the announcement that the EU has begun the gradual removal of restrictive measures against Kosovo and its efforts in this direction, while adding that they should be completely removed and stressed that Kosovo should receive candidate status as the most advanced democracy in the Western Balkans.
During the dinner hosted by the Prime Minister, the post-election process in the country and the commitments for the formation of the institutions of the ninth legislature were also discussed.
Regarding the EU-mediated dialogue process, the Prime Minister stressed the importance of the full implementation of the Basic Agreement and its Annex. While recalling that Serbia must be held responsible for the terrorist and paramilitary attack in Banjska and that the main terrorist Milan Radoićić, for whom there is already a 160-page indictment from the Prosecutor's Office of the Republic of Kosovo, must be handed over to Kosovo.
Prime Minister Kurti also raised the issue of the continuous and serious violations of the rights of Albanians in Preševo, Medvedja and Bujanovac by the state of Serbia and demanded that the EU take concrete actions to protect the rights of Albanians in the Valley. (A2 Televizion)
