The European Union confirms that the functioning of the Special Court in The Hague is not at risk, following the decision of US President Donald Trump to cut off funding to foreign countries.
The EU tells Radio Television of Kosovo that the United States does not contribute financially to this institution.
"The running costs of the Kosovo Specialist Chambers and the Specialist Prosecutor's Office are covered by the European Union, under the Common Foreign and Security Policy budget. The US is not contributing to the operating costs of this institution," a written response from the European Commission headquarters to RTK said.
According to reports, the annual budget of the Special Court and Prosecutor's Office is almost 100 million euros. In addition to the European Union, this amount is supplemented by several donations from various countries. (A2 Televizion)
