Kosovo remains committed to strengthening security capacities that will face current challenges.
At a conference organized by the Ministry of Defense, President Vjosa Osmani said that national sustainability is not just a theoretical concept, but is the foundation on which the security, development and future of the state of Kosovo are built.
“At a time when security threats are more complex than ever, from conventional wars to hybrid attacks and cyber challenges, Kosovo must be ready for the challenges we face today and for those of the future. We need a security architecture that is innovative, flexible and prepared to face any scenario”, said President Osmani.
Prime Minister Albin Kurti said that responding to the challenges of the time requires a combination of determination and unity, while emphasizing investments in security.
“We get ready for what comes to mind, but we must also get ready for what does not come to mind for now. Furthermore, we have initiated deep reforms in the defense and security sector through sustainable military purchases, we have increased not only our readiness to protect the integrity and security of the country but also the ability to prevent and recover from any blow”, said Prime Minister Kurti.
Minister of Defense, Ejup Maqedonci, said that the organized conference aims to strengthen cooperation, and share best practices that will improve and enrich national resilience.
"In an increasingly interconnected and complex world, resilience is no longer an option, but a necessity. Resilience is defined not only as the ability to cope with shocks and threats, but above all as a capacity to maintain the vital functions of society, to protect our values and to ensure that the future is built on strong foundations", said Minister Maqedonci.
