Kosovo will end the year with an economic growth of 4.3 percent. This was said by the Governor of the Central Bank, Ahmet Ismaili, during a press conference.
According to him, inflation had stabilized, reaching the rate of 1.7 percent. He also underlined that the remittances received by the end of the year are expected to reach the value of 1.36 billion euros, marking an annual increase of 1.9 percent.
The extent of financial sovereignty in the north has sparked many debates during the beginning of the year for the implementation of the CBK regulation. Asked by A2CNN if the regulation is being implemented and if there will be full financial discipline in the north, the Governor said that at least 30 bank points will be opened there starting from February.
As for foreign investments, Ismaili said that the geopolitical and security climate had a direct impact. Although it is estimated that there is an increase compared to 2023, the trend is not very optimistic for the following years. (A2 Televizion)
