Kosovo has been rocked by the fourth murder in three days. On Tuesday evening, another serious shooting incident occurred on “Rrustem Hyseni” street in Pristina.

The bar where the incident occurred is located in the basement of a house, while from the inside, there were fallen chairs, tables, blood stains and televisions, a space that seems to have been used for gambling.

According to the police, two masked and armed people opened fire on two people, one of whom lost his life at the University Clinical Center of Kosovo. According to residents, gambling activities were carried out in the bar where the incident occurred.

The victim is Naser Gashi, 62, while Miftar Miftari, 42, was injured. The police, who have identified the suspected perpetrators, are searching for them.

Following the murder of a 19-year-old man, a woman and a man in Vushtrri, this series of serious events sparked reactions in Pristina.

The acting Prime Minister, Albin Kurti, convened the government cabinet where he requested maximum engagement of law enforcement and justice bodies.

“I invite law enforcement, investigation and justice bodies to treat with the utmost seriousness the causes, circumstances and predispositions of the perpetrators, so that justice can be served and such cases can be prevented in the future”, said Kurti.

Expressing condolences to the families, he said that events like these of the last few days should not be normalized.

“The whole country has been shocked and hurt by this series of murders that must be stopped, halted, punished. Of course, we need careful professional analysis, immediate institutional action and social reflection that addresses the violence we have seen in these last few days”, said Kurti.

Naser Gashi's family members said on social media that the deceased was found by chance at the scene of the incident and was not the target of the perpetrators.

However, the Basic Prosecution Office in Pristina and the Kosovo Police say they are investigating the case, without providing details about the motive. (A2 Televizion)
