The Kosovo police shed light on the serious event that happened on Wednesday evening in the "Dalip Alshiqi" street of Prishtina, where 33-year-old Liridona Murseli was killed.
The incident was initially reported as a robbery. The authorities in the Kosovar capital announced that the wife of the former councilor of Behgjet Pacolli, Naim Murseli, took a bullet that left her dead on the spot when the family confronted the robbers in the village of Sinidoll.
In the statement to the investigators, the victim's husband confessed that he was with his wife and children in the car, when he was suddenly ambushed by two armed robbers, in a BMW type vehicle with foreign license plates.
Murseli had stated that when they faced the robbers, he took the children to leave the scene and heard several shots, which were fatal for his wife.
As Liridona Murseli was buried today in Cërmjan of Gjakova, it seems that the track of the investigations has been reversed. The police announce that they have arrested two suspects who are related to the murder and the operation is continuing with the raid of two locations in Gjakova.
" On 29.11.2023, around 8:20 p.m., we received information about gunshots on "Dalip Alshiqi" street in Pristina. The police and the emergency doctors immediately went to the scene, where they found a person in a car without signs of life. The death of the victim (female) was confirmed by the medical team at the scene. Based on the first information, it is suspected to be a murder by firearm. The police, in coordination with the prosecutor's office, have started an investigation and the undertaking of all investigative and examination actions, which would help the investigation of the event and the complete clarification of the case. After the examination of the scene, intensive investigative actions were taken which resulted in the arrest of two suspects related to the case mentioned above. "
The media in Kosovo report that one of the arrested is the husband of the 33-year-old deceased. The other suspect allegedly admitted to the prosecutor of the case that it was Murseli who paid him to commit the murder. (A2 Televizion)
