The Vetëvendosje Movement is seeking another mandate with Albin Kurti, who aims to lead the third government in his political career. Vetëvendosje, which led the executive for the last four years, is awaiting citizens' appreciation for its work while presenting 25 new commitments and programs for the next four years.
Kurti promises to accelerate economic growth by supporting manufacturing and innovation enterprises. Through the "1 billion euros in production" program, through guaranteeing loans for investors, the aim is also to create new jobs.
"During the next mandate, the minimum wage will increase by over 500 euros. The minimum wage will not be taxed. This means that even for small individual businesses, the first 6,000 euros of annual profit will be exempt from tax," Kurti declared, A2 CNN reported.
In addition to capital projects, Kurti has also promised 500 million euros for Brezovica to transform it into a winter tourist center.
The "Superjob for Women" program is also foreseen, which will guarantee the minimum wage for the first 6 months for every woman who wants to return to the labor market, while within the framework of family measures, it provides support for grandmothers and grandfathers.
"Every retired grandmother or grandfather who takes care of grandchildren aged 13-36 months, when their parents work, will receive an additional 100 euros each month, on top of the existing pension ," Kurti said, A2 CNN reports.
In education, support for students with special scholarships is foreseen, priority is given to dual education and early childhood education. New dormitories and libraries are also foreseen.
"Digitization of certificates and school materials...", Kurti added.
The Vetëvendosje Movement also pledges for better quality public health and greater support for all farmers.
In infrastructure, the completion of main roads and highways is foreseen, with the most important ones including the Prizren-Tetovo, Pristina-Gjilan and Dukagjini highways. Other important projects include the Dry Port and the Pristina-Durrës railway.
"In the new mandate, we will begin the construction of the Pristina - Durrës railway, which includes the Gjakova-Shkodra segment, and we will design the railway line connecting Prizren and Ferizaj with Gjilan and Bujanovac," emphasized the leader of Vetëvendosje.
In terms of security, the advancement of the Drone and Anti-Drone Unit is promised to strengthen border surveillance and increase public safety in general.
A budget of over 1 billion euros has been promised for the Kosovo army in the next four years.
"The operationalization of the Ammunition Factory and the development of Kosovo's military industry. During the new mandate, we will develop 'Made in Kosovo' military drones. The strengthening of the army will be achieved through the purchase of armaments, training and education within the country, in cooperation with Albania and in the most prominent military academies in partner countries. We will create a joint military unit with the Armed Forces of the Republic of Albania", emphasized the Prime Minister.
In foreign policy, the aim is to strengthen strategic relations with partner countries, while the objective is that by 2030 the country will have successfully completed all chapters of the integration process towards EU membership.
"Acquiring the status of a candidate country in the European Union will be one of our key commitments. Doubling the network of defense attaches and increasing the number of partner states with which we sign SOFA agreements are the steps we will take in the future towards full membership in NATO. We are expanding and deepening bilateral relations with non-recognizing states, with particular emphasis on non-recognizing states of NATO, the European Union and the Council of Europe", declared Kurti.
The Vetëvendosje Movement says that it has the diaspora and Albanians in the Presheva Valley as a priority, as well as cooperation with Albania. It also aims for reforms in the justice system by establishing new institutions. (A2 Televizion)
