The Central Election Commission of Kosovo announced that in the early hours of the morning. CEC spokesperson, Valmir Elezi, stated that the election material has been distributed on time to all polling stations. He called on citizens to exercise their constitutional right by voting in the upcoming Kosovo Assembly Elections.
"I would like to inform you that in the early hours of the morning and on time, election material, including ballots, was distributed to all polling stations. Therefore, based on the information we have received so far, in all polling stations in the Republic of Kosovo, in 903 polling stations with 2,533 polling stations, the voting process in the Elections for the Assembly of the Republic of Kosovo has begun. In addition to regular voting, the CEC has also designated 38 polling stations for conditional voting, one for each municipality, with a total of 56 polling stations. According to the Voters' List, the number of Kosovo citizens with the right to vote today is 1 million 970 thousand 944. The number of political entities certified to participate in these elections is 28, of which 20 are political parties, 5 coalitions, 2 civic initiatives and 1 independent candidate. The number of candidates for deputies, certified by the CEC and belonging to these political entities is 1,279 candidates. The Central Election Commission calls on citizens with the right to vote to exercise their constitutional right by voting in the upcoming Elections for the Assembly of Kosovo.
