Kosovo's judiciary may decide whether or not to allow the army in the north. The Social Democratic Party has submitted a letter to the Special Prosecution Office to assess the constitutionality of the 2013 agreement between Hashim Thaçi and KFOR, in which it guarantees that the KSF will not encroach on the north. A decision is also being sought on the same pledge made by the Minister of Defense, Ejup Maqedonci, to the KFOR commander, Enrico Barduani.
"The agreement that was once called a violation of the Constitution, an act of treason, is today affirmed by the same prime minister, because everything happens with his permission. This is not simply hypocrisy, it is not simply a lie, it is much worse than that, the question that must be asked is: from what perspective is an act called treason when done by someone else, and the same thing when done by oneself, not even considered."
Hyseni explains what question he asked the Prosecutor's Office. "Today we have sent it to the Prosecutor's Office whether the 2013 agreement, as Kurti himself has described it, is a violation of the constitution, because he said that it is an international treaty without being voted on in the parliament, if it was a violation, then its reaffirmation by Macedonia should be considered a violation, according to the Prime Minister's own criteria."
The debate on whether or not to allow the Kosovo army returned after the terrorist attack on the Ibër-Lepenc canal, when the KSF was deployed at several key points of the country's vital infrastructure, except in the north. (A2 Televizion)
