Former OSCE Ambassador to Kosovo, William Walker, stated on the "Off the Record" show with journalist Andrea Danglli on A2 CNN that he is afraid of Belgrade, Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić and other officials who continue to deny their country's responsibility for the Recak massacre during the war in Kosovo.

Walker said that President Vučić's government is the same as that of Milošević, who committed numerous massacres of the civilian population in Kosovo.

He also added that he was publishing a book about the truths of what happened in those years in Racak, so that the whole world could learn the truth of the event.

According to Walker, Serbia had done everything to manipulate the attack on the civilian population in those years, justifying itself to the international community that there had been a war in Recak between the KLA and the Serbian army and police.

"I have heard many descriptions of what happened in Recak. I am afraid of Belgrade. Mostly I am afraid of Vučić and other people who are in line with the Serbian propaganda machine and continue to deny Belgrade's responsibility for what happened that day.

I think it's important that the voice of Albanians with little support from me is heard. And that's the purpose of the book. I'm ashamed that I waited 25 years to write and publish it. But I think it's coming out on the anniversary, the 26th anniversary of the massacre in Recak. I think it has some meaning in itself. I think the Belgrade government is the government that was there during the events in Recak. Milosevic's government and Vučić's are very similar.

"Reçak was one of dozens of massacres that I know of. I don't think the Serbian people are ready to believe that I was a CIA agent. On January 16, shortly after the massacre took place, I came out and told the world what I had seen. This was not consistent with what the Serbian government was saying, claiming that there was a battle between the KLA, the Serbian army and the Serbian police," Walker said, writes A2 CNN.
