With Donald Trump's return to power, pressure is expected to increase in relation to the Kosovo-Serbia dialogue. This is how analysts in Kosovo assess, as they comment on the statements of former US national security adviser John Bolton, for A2CNN, that Trump could lead to a final agreement with mutual recognition.
Political scientist Albinot Maloku believes that the momentum to accept de jure recognition by Serbia has not yet arrived, but changing geopolitical circumstances coupled with Trump's pressure could lead to something like that.
Analyst Selam Shkodra assesses Bolton's statement on the possibility of an agreement under Trump's leadership as realistic, since, as he says, he had extensive information and was directly involved with the issue during his first term.
"In President Trump's second term, Serbia cannot withstand the pressure for recognition," Shkodra emphasizes.
