Kosovo President Vjosa Osmani said that with the new US administration of President Donald Trump, the country aims to deepen cooperation in the field of defense and strategic investments. In a Facebook post, she said that the aim is also to continue working with Washington on strengthening Kosovo's international position. "American support has been and remains vital for our country," Osmani said.
The head of state of Kosovo is staying in the United States, where she participated in the Morning Prayers, but also held meetings at the State Department. On February 6, Osmani said that she met with the chairman of the House Foreign Affairs Committee, Brian Mast, with whom she said she talked about relations between the two countries, which according to her, have an alliance built on shared values and commitment to peace and security.
The Presidency, meanwhile, announced that Osmani also met with Congressman Keith Self in Washington, with whom he discussed the need for continued American support for security and stability in the Western Balkans. (A2 Televizion)
