The institutional crisis has prompted the accredited ambassadors of two of the most influential countries in Kosovo, those of Great Britain and Germany, to call on political parties to cooperate in overcoming obstacles to the formation of Kosovo's new institutions.

The messages came after the failure of the second session of the Assembly's constitution and after the warning of the head of the VV parliamentary group, Mimoza Lila, "if it takes pressure from embassies to achieve political dialogue."

The British Ambassador to Kosovo, Jonathan Hargreaves, has held informal meetings with representatives of the winning party and opposition parties. He stated that Kosovo urgently needs a functional Assembly and government, while mentioning the fact that over two months have passed since the electoral process.

Analyst Lavdrim Hamiti tells A2 CNN that he expects further pressure to mount on the winning Vetëvendosje party, as it is "buying time" to secure the numbers.

According to Hamiti, strong American diplomatic intervention seems to be the key to unlocking the created situation. (A2 Televizion)
