Political parties in Kosovo failed to unblock the institutional deadlock, while the second session for the constitution of the new Assembly also failed.
The chairman of the session, Avni Dehari, invited political representatives to consultations, but later said that there is no consensus on how to proceed and that the session will continue on April 19 at 12:00, writes A2.
PDK, LDK and AAK, which insist that the incumbent cabinet members should no longer continue to work in the executive after resigning, accused the Vetëvendosje Movement of trying to buy time for political bargaining by interrupting the session. According to them, Kurti's party does not have the votes to elect the speaker of parliament and the government.
LDK and PDK MPs claim that there was a script for Thursday's session by Vetëvendosje with the aim of dragging out the negotiations and that the signs were seen from the beginning. According to them, the oath texts were not placed in front of the MPs, as Vetëvendosje had decided to prevent this.
Meanwhile, Kurti's Vetëvendosje party continues to insist that the demand for resignation is meaningless.
LVV blamed PDK, LDK, and AAK, arguing that other options are needed on how to move forward.
This is the second constitutive session to fail, after on Tuesday opposition party deputies did not approve the mandate verification report, claiming that government members should have officially resigned. (A2 Televizion)
