The deputy of the Democratic Party of Kosovo, Ganimete Musliu said that the deputies of the Vetëvendosje Movement have failed because, according to her, they are irresponsible and abusive with the trust they received from the citizens of Kosovo. In a press conference, Musliu said that the main trend of the current government is the elimination of democratic parliamentary control. And while speaking about the case of the allocation of subsidies by the Ministry of Agriculture, Musliu said that the member of the Commission for Environment and Agriculture, Fitore Pacolli, placed servility and family benefits above the law and her responsibility.
"Throughout this governing mandate, we have constantly raised our voice about the misgovernance that was installed by the Vetëvendosje Movement. Together with media reports, we have made it possible for all citizens of Kosovo to clearly see the truth of misgovernance and subsidy abuses by Minister Faton Peci. With continuous commitment, we have highlighted the main tendency of the current government, which is the elimination of democratic parliamentary control. The method of degeneration of this democratic, controlling instrument is the main element of dictatorial powers. The deputies of Vetëvendosje have proved that they are irresponsible and extremely abusive with the trust they received from the citizens of this country. And it is extremely harmful for institutional functioning is the chairwoman of the Parliamentary Committee for Environment, Food, Agriculture, Planning and Development, Fitore Pacolli. She placed party servility and family benefits above the law and above her responsibility as part of the highest body in the country, the Assembly of the Republic of Kosovo," said Musliu.
Musliu called Pacolli a puppet of the government, for which he criticized the same for not inviting the Minister of Agriculture, Faton Peci, and the Minister of Environment, Liburn Aliu, to the commission she heads. According to her, with these actions, Pacolli has tried to keep the abuses in the ministry away from public attention.
"I want to emphasize that Fitore Pacolli was extremely irresponsible and abusive in terms of the legislation in force through which the functioning of our democratic parliamentary system is ensured. Throughout the year 2024, Minister Peci has never invited us to report, despite the fact that there have been continuous proposals and requests from other members of the commission. The same has been done with the Minister of Environment, Liburn Aliu... Fitore Pacolli is synonymous with irresponsible representation and synonymous with the abuse of citizens' trust. She, as a puppet of the government, has neglected and appropriated the work of the parliamentary committee because this is the only way she thought of keeping the abuses in the ministry away from public attention, which in reality she is called to oversee and hold accountable", stressed Musliu.
Among other things, the deputy of PDK, Ganimete Musliu, said that apart from Pacolli, neither the ministers, as she calls them abusive, nor the Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, can be comfortable, because according to her, citizens must be accountable for every action.
"Neither Fitore Pacolli, nor the abusive ministers, nor the prime minister who has installed a destructive mindset can feel comfortable because they all must and will account to the citizens for every action and for every distribution of funds dedicated to subsidize them farmers and farmers of Kosovo who earn their living with hard work... We ask the competent bodies to seriously examine and investigate these cases of nepotism, conflict interest and legal violations", stressed Musliu. (A2 Televizion)
