The military agreement between Kosovo, Albania and Croatia is not a threat to Serbia. This is what Kosovo's Minister of Defense, Ejup Makedonci, said. In an interview with the media in Croatia, Makedonci stressed that Serbia constantly aims to keep the region in tension and uncertainty, writes A2.
"Serbia constantly aims to keep the region in tension and uncertainty. In fact, the states that are united through this agreement are oriented towards peace, security and Euro-Atlantic integration. What is happening in Kosovo is a response to efforts to maintain stability and is not a threat to anyone," the Macedonian declared.
The Macedonian confirmed that NATO has been officially informed about this agreement. He added that this agreement is an important step towards strengthening the partnership in the field of security and defense, which coincides with Kosovo's strategic orientation and the support of allies, including the United States.
"NATO has been officially informed through the Kosovo Ministry of Defense, namely the Kosovo Security Force, as we are in the process of deepening cooperation with NATO and its member states. This is a step towards deepening cooperation and expanding partnership in the field of security and defense," emphasized Ejup Maqedonci.
Further, in the interview, the Macedonian stated that Russian intelligence is involved in illegal Serbian structures in northern Kosovo. He emphasized that Russian influence has increased since the beginning of the aggression in Ukraine, constituting a constant threat to the Western Balkans.
"Serbia-Russia ties through the Humanitarian Center in Nis and intelligence activities are already documented. We have nothing against Serbian citizens, but the leadership in Belgrade plays on fear for domestic political purposes. This destabilizing rhetoric is intended to stop the Euro-Atlantic integration of the region," he added. (A2 Televizion)
