The British diplomat was given a very warm welcome. The President of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, spoke with the United Kingdom's Foreign Secretary, David Lammy, on a number of issues, but with a special focus on security and the Pristina-Belgrade dialogue. After exchanging views, they held a joint conference to provide details. President Osmani confirmed that an agreement is being formulated to deepen cooperation in the fields of defense and economy.

"While both our countries have committed to increasing defense spending, there is much we can do together during this period. Tony Blair's goal was for Kosovo to be able to shape its own future, to coexist peacefully with its neighbors and to protect the diversity of its citizens. And today I am committed to the same goal. And that is why the President and I have discussed working on a deeper, more structured relationship between us in the months ahead," the British Foreign Secretary stressed.

Regarding dialogue, the British minister had a message for the new government, while President Osmani showed the true face of Serbia, which does not seek normalization, but hinders it.

“I welcome the great progress you have made in February and I hope that here in Kosovo we will engage in building a new government, which is important at this difficult time. So I have not only returned as a friend, but I have returned with a very strong sense that the United Kingdom continues to play its important role as a partner and a close friend of this country. There are things that we want to see as that partnership develops. We want full normalisation for you here in Kosovo, but also between Kosovo and, of course, Serbia. The United Kingdom has a strong interest in KFOR. I saw KFOR last time I was here. I will see it again and it is extremely important for your security,” said David Lammy, British Foreign Secretary.

The Minister also introduced the new Special Envoy for the Western Balkans of Great Britain, Karen Pierce, former ambassador to the US. He also expressed satisfaction that London will organize the Berlin Process this year, while expressing strong support for Kosovo to be accepted into the Council of Europe and other international institutions. During his stay in Kosovo, Lammy also met with Prime Minister Albin Kurti. The acting head of government complained about the fact that Serbia is obstructing justice in the case of the terrorist attack in Banjska by protecting the organizer Milan Radoićić. (A2 Televizion)
