Vote counting in Kosovo ends, CEC spokesperson: Here's when the results

After almost a month, the vote counting process in Kosovo concluded this evening. The last votes counted today were those of conditional voting and people with special needs, while previously the votes of the Diaspora were counted, where the Vetëvendosje Movement received over 50% of the votes.

A little while ago, in an interview for Ditar i Kosova on A2 CNN, when only two tables remained to be counted, CEC spokesperson Valmir Elezi said that the process has been transparent and now opens the way for other deadlines before the results are certified.

"We are almost at the end of the votes from the conditional voting and the voting of people with special needs. The process started yesterday. Over 15,500 thousand votes have been counted since yesterday. According to the law, the CEC is obliged to wait 48 hours before announcing the final election results for the subjects and candidates for deputies. Complaints must be filed within 48 hours of the last administration of the count. If there are no complaints, then the final result is announced. The election process does not end with the announcement of the results, as a deadline for complaints about the overall result begins. It is the subjects who can file complaints and if the parties do not agree, then the case goes to the Supreme Court. After all the issues are completed, then the CEC certifies the result and concludes the result", Elezi declared for A2 CNN.

In the results of the general elections in Kosovo, the Vetevendosje Movement received 48 MPs, PDK, 24, LDK 20, AAK-Nisma 8, Serbian List 9, a party led by Nenad Rashi and non-Serb communities received 10 MPs.
