From the economic agreement between Kosovo and Serbia, to recognition by Israel, to political disagreements and accusations, these are the events that marked Kosovo's relations with the previous American administration of Donald Trump.
Now, after the Republican's return to the White House, political experts in Kosovo expect the same stances from this administration regarding Kosovo. Analyst Magbule Shkodra believes that the new American administration will not have the Balkans and Kosovo issue among its priorities, but it will take a concrete step by appointing a special envoy for dialogue.
Meanwhile, the president of the "Friends of America" association, Agim Rexha, describes this as a special day for policymaking in Kosovo and Albania since, as he says, it is about the President with the greatest diplomatic power in the world.
Political pundits are unanimous about the economic agreement between Kosovo and Serbia, signed at the White House under Trump's mediation. They believe that the Republican will return to the deal and demand its implementation.
The Washington Agreement included concrete infrastructure projects such as the Pristina-Merdare Peace Highway and a railway line on the same route, to facilitate movement and trade between Kosovo and Serbia. Although the highway project continued on both sides, it still remains incomplete. (A2 Televizion)
