Analyst Nexhmedin Spahiu has revealed the reasons why he met with Serbian Foreign Minister Marko Djuric.
In an interview on 'Ditari Kosova' with journalist Xhevahir Qardaku on A2 CNN, Spahiu said that the motives for which he met Djuric are patriotic motives, the same as the motives that led Adem Jashari to fight for the freedom of Kosovo.
He also said that he has known Djuric for 10 years, when they met at a conference organized by Spahiu himself in Mitrovica, which, according to him, was attended by Kosovo heads of state and foreign ambassadors.
Spahiu also said that he held the meeting with Djuric because, according to him, Kosovo needs the dialogue with Serbia to move forward, recognition from Belgrade, and the lifting of sanctions by the European Union.
So, in short, Spahiu stated that he went to Belgrade to meet with Djuric for the good of Kosovo and according to him, he was also congratulated by internationals for this meeting.
"Asking why I met with Djuric is like asking Adem Jashari why he fought and sacrificed for Kosovo. What drove him, what is the patriotic motive. The will to contribute to Kosovo, to what Kosovo needs most at this moment."
If at the time when Adem Jashari fought, an uprising and armed struggle were needed, now Kosovo needs the breaking of the blockade, moving towards dialogue and recognition by Serbia, this is what Kosovo needs.
