Ramush Haradinaj is once again a candidate for prime minister. This time, his party, the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo, entered into a coalition with Fatmir Limaj's Initiative and several smaller political organizations, which was called "For a Winning Kosovo."
This coalition considers Kosovo's membership in NATO and the European Union as a strategic priority and an essential step towards strengthening national security and economic stability.
The action plan for membership in these two organizations is built on three pillars: political, military and economic.
On the political level, it is envisaged to strengthen relations with Euro-Atlantic institutions, fulfill obligations in the dialogue with Serbia, consolidate democracy in Kosovo and improve relations with neighbors.
On the military front, it is envisaged to increase the combat capabilities of the Kosovo Army, develop the defense industry, produce ammunition and other military equipment, and improve military and civil defense infrastructure.
While in the economic aspect, the activation of Kosovo's resources for economic partnership with Alliance countries is envisaged.
"We want to increase defense investments and we want to secure Kosovo forever. We do not want to play games with national security behind the backs of our allies and in the interests of Russia and Serbia."
Through economic and fiscal policies, the AAK-led coalition promises to fill the vacuum that is being created by the contraction of several sectors of the economy, while through fiscal incentives, the liquidity of enterprises will be maintained and more favorable conditions will be created for businesses to grow and develop.
"We want economic security, we want strong, successful Kosovo businesses, we want them as domestic investors, we want them as partners of foreign investors, we want them as added value, we want them as partners for public-private projects, we want business zones in every municipality, in every place in Kosovo we want a business zone, we want an American business zone in Gjakova."
Further development of road infrastructure through the finalization of initiated projects and the implementation of new projects is another promise of Haradinaj that, according to him, will contribute to economic growth and social and economic development.
"We want Gjakova Airport as a second airport, we want the railway to Durres, we want investments in Trepca and not to leave the miners without salaries, we want to complete all the projects that have been stopped, the highway to Gjilan, the highway to Mitrovica, to Podujeva, we want to connect Gjakova with a highway, we want to connect Peja with a highway. We want the Dukagjin highway that connects Prizren, Rahovec, Gjakova, Deçan, Peja, Istog, Skenderaj and connects Mitrovica."
Wage and pension increases are also foreseen in the program, while subsidies for families in need, for children and adults, up to values over 1,500 euros, are planned.
"We don't want salaries under 1,000 euros in the public sector, we don't want them anymore. We don't want a minimum wage under 500 euros and we don't want a pension of 500 euros anymore."
A series of reforms are planned in education to raise it to a competitive level with Western countries. This starts with increasing the education budget to 6% of GDP and improving the educational infrastructure.
Deep reforms are also announced in healthcare with the creation of a strategy for all three levels: primary, secondary and tertiary.
"We love the dignity, the integrity of the doctor and the nurse, we love the health of the patient, we want our citizen to be healthy, safe, we want health insurance."
AAK and Nisma also promise the construction of a new thermal power plant with a production capacity of up to 500MW for energy stability, as well as the construction of a gas network.
Meanwhile, for bills, it pledges to reduce the VAT on electricity to 6% for household users. (A2 Televizion)
