The European Union is convinced that the visit to Moscow on May 9 by Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić is a step backwards.
The European Commission spokesperson said in a reaction that the EU wants to rely on Serbia and that the country must confirm its strategic direction towards the bloc, as relations with Russia cannot be business as usual.
"The EU is clear to everyone, including Serbia, that relations with Russia cannot continue as usual as long as the war continues, while the Putin regime is in power and in the shadow of the unprovoked Russian war on Ukraine," the EC official said.
He added that he did not want to speculate on the possible consequences that Serbia could face. (A2 Televizion)
