After more than two decades of the war in Kosovo, today the mortal remains of eight war victims who were on the list of missing persons were reburied in Grabanicë and Jashanicë, Klina.

They were recently identified after findings in the mass grave in Bishtazhin, Gjakova, writes A2. Before this ceremony, a memorial academy was held in Klina, remembering the sacrifice of the martyrs and the pain of the families for the missing.

"The Government of Kosovo will never stop demanding accountability from Serbia for the most cruel crimes committed in the last war in Kosovo. On this day filled with pain for our country, on behalf of the Assembly of the Republic of Kosovo, we express our condolences and highest respect for the sacrifice of the nation's fallen. Their names will be kept in the minds and hearts of each of us, and we will teach them to generations in our Republic and wherever there are Albanians," said Bogujevci.

The Chairman of the Government Commission for Missing Persons, Andin Hoti, said that April 4 is not just a calendar date, but an unhealed wound even two decades after the war and that they will never stop until the fate of the last missing person in Kosovo is revealed: "April 4 in Klina is not just a calendar date, but it is a wound that has never healed. It is the day when the memory of this municipality invites us to never forget. Klina of resistance has experienced one of the most severe wounds of the war in Kosovo. The Serbian criminal regime did not spare this place. On the contrary, here crime took its most savage form."

The President of the Association for Missing Persons in Klina, Zeqir Morina, stated that the reburial of the remains of martyrs who disappeared during the war in Kosovo is proof that freedom is not given, but is achieved through many sacrifices.
