On the 79th anniversary of the Liberation of Albania, the highest heads of state paid tribute to the Nation's Martyrs' Cemetery. The heads of state honored the memory of those who fell for the freedom of the homeland, which marks 79 years today. They placed flower wreaths near the "Mother Albania" Monument and bowed in honor and respect for the lives given to Albania.
This November 29, Albania celebrates the 79th anniversary of the liberation of the country from the fascist occupation. From April 7, 1939 to November 29, 1944, Albania was occupied by fascist Italy, and after its capitulation, in the fall of 1943, it was occupied by German forces.
