Every official or politician must implement the decision of the courts. This is what former prosecutor Elisabeta Imeraj expressed in Dita Jonë, talking about the justice system in the country, public trust and the Berisha case. She said that there is a legal way to challenge the court's decision, but it is important not to mix politics with the investigation.
"Such issues, due to the 30-year role in Albanian society, will always have some kind of burden and burden. It is important not to mix politics with investigation. The policy-making of each individual should not be influenced by the investigations of the prosecutor's offices. Albania has suffered from democracy. It is important not to mix politics with investigation. We cannot say that they are escaping the law. Has the Prosecution in years carried out the relevant steps for investigative actions, was the climate right? Has there been political will? This is the main reason why the investigations do not go to the end. This is related to the work of the prosecution. It seems that these are the regulators of the process. Let's explain the cause-and-effect relationship. SPAK and the court must explain how it is impossible for an individual to adopt a single law. Who has influenced the proposing minister or MP? . This relates to the file as a whole. I am against any initiative of a person, be it a politician or official, who do not implement the court's decision. There is a legal way, as opposed, but it must be implemented".
Regarding the pressure on judges and prosecutors, Imeraj said that today the methods are sophisticated. While female judges, according to her, are more attacked.
"The prosecutor's office speaks with acts, actions and investigations. What can be seen is that politics does not give up on those involved in jobs that do not belong to them. There are many different ways to intervene, intimidate or impress. The ways are sophisticated, they are more secretive. Newspapers are opened and closed with the name of the prosecutor. There have been threats, there will be and there are currently. When an important case is investigated in Albania, if we take an analysis, we will notice that the pressure is not simply about harming the health of family members or the employment of family members, but from the moment the prosecutor opens with the name of such and such. Female judges are attacked the most". (A2 Televizion)
