The chairman of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, has congratulated the Christian believers on Christmas, from the Catholic Church of Tirana, where he visited this morning.
During the visit, Berisha also met the Archbishop of Tirana and Durrës, the head of the Catholic Church in Albania, Monsignor Arjan Dodaj.
Berisha said during his speech that Christmas symbolizes the day on which God was born, the man who with his life and thoughts did more than anyone else for the morality of Western civilization.
Berisha also added that he wished that "the magic of this day will be transformed into inspiration, strength and goodness for all God's believers".
Part of Berisha's speech:
I wish all the Catholic believers, but also all the believers of God that this is a holy day for every believer.
The day on which the god was born, the man who by his life and thoughts did more than anyone else for the morality of Western civilization.
The alliance of Albanians with the Vatican is the earliest, longest-lasting alliance in the history of the Albanian nation.
I had a very heartfelt, open conversation and once again I wish that the magic of this day will be transformed into inspiration, strength and goodness for all God's believers. Thank you! (A2 Televizion)
