The registration of FLI as a STG (Traditional Speciality Guaranteed) product marks the first step towards registering FLI as part of our culinary heritage, preserving the authentic recipe. This was stated by Prime Minister Edi Rama in a Facebook post, following the news that Kukës flija is another indigenous Albanian product, which is heading towards the registration process as a protected trademark.

A2 CNN learns that the Kukës lamb has passed the compliance verification tests for geographical indications, designation of origin and tradition, thus receiving the national logo and its presentation on the market as a "Guaranteed Traditional Specialty".
Agricultural experts and donors in the field organized a special activity on fli, at a guesthouse in Kukës, to promote rural tourism and local heritage.
Five local women cooked the traditional FLI, which was tasted in a tasting as a first step towards its registration as a Traditional Speciality Guaranteed (TSG). Members of the Quality Schemes Commission were also present at the event, to select the most authentic version.
Currently, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development has certified 4 typical products with the designation "Guaranteed Traditional Specialty": Ziem Cheese, Veleçik, Shkodër; Bedunica Honey, Përmet; Goat Cheese, Bjeshkët e Runjës, as well as Mishavina cheese from Kelmendi, which give added value to the tradition of our lands from the north to the south of Albania.
